Today’s 80/20 is Murcar in the 15.40 at Southwell.This gelding had some ability on the flat and rounded off last year with a victory in a Wolverhampton handicap.Today he makes his hurdles debut in this modest event and should run very well.

Today’s 80/20 is Sure Fire in the 13.20 at Southwell.This gelding attracted significant support on debut last November in a NHF race where he finished down the field behind Pro Pell.Last time out he showed he had some ability when finishing third to Lava Steps in a maiden over this course.I do not think this race will take a lot of winning and he should be involved in the finish

Today’s 80/20 is Inside Story in the 13.50 at Southwell.This gelding finished a fair fifth to Shake On It at Wolverhampton last week.He did meet a little interference in the race and could have finished closer to the winner.He holds his form well in this company and should take a hand in the finish

Today’s 80/20 is Boy The Bell in the 12.25 at Southwell .This gelding by Choisir put up an improved effort last time out over this course when finishing a closing second to Esuvia.I think he could have a little more improvement left in him and should appreciate the extra yardage today

At Carlisle today in the 13.55 Money Trix is an interesting runner in this decent race.He is a classy performer and should make his presence felt with a clear round.

Today’s 80/20 is See Me Soon in the 15.20 at Southwell.This individual was last seen at Newbury in January when slipping up in a race won by the talented Mad Max.He had previously shown he had a little ability when running well against Covert Mission last December.With a little improvement he could run well at a fair price

At Hexham today in the 15.20  King Fontaine should go close in this race today.He has plenty of form in the book in a race that will not take a lot of winning.

Today’s 80/20 is Domination in the 13.00 at Southwell.This colt made a promising start to his career when finishing a closing fourth to Ted Spread at Newbury.He was a little disappointing on his next start when he finished down the field in a Newbury maiden.I am prepared to give him another chance in this race today

At Southwell today in the 2.50 Horseradish will be very hard to beat in this maiden.This colt ran a good second on debut at Ayr and should move forward today.He will be a  very short price today but is a worthy favourite.

Today,s 80/20 is Sternlight in the 3.10 at Warwick.This colt is gradually getting the hang of things and put up a pleasing effort last time out when finishing fourth to Business As Usual at Yarmouth.He kept on in good style that day and should be ready to move forward today

At Southwell today in the 3pm Comedy Hall should show some improvement on his second start.He ran well on debut when he finished a solid fifth to Mr David.He has a pedigree for this surface and i am expecting a big run today.

Today’s Selection 5-April-09

At Southwell today in the novice hurdle at 3.40 Jokers Legacy has a very good opportunity to make it three wins. This seven-year-old gelding appears to be improving and a couple of really good efforts have boosted his confidence. In his current mood he should prove hard to beat. At present he is trading at 2.26 on the exchange.
