Posted on August 13th, 2010 No commentsToday’s 80/20 is Sans Frontieres in the 14.30 at Newbury.This lightly raced colt by Galileo put up a much improved effort when beating Redwood in a Group 2 event at HQ last month.He quickened nicely a furlong from home and won with the minimum of fuss.I think he will move forward today and should go close.

Posted on August 12th, 2010 No commentsToday’s 80/20 is Marlinka in the 15.45 at Newbury.This Marju filly beat Boccalino in a Listed event in France last month.She burst out of the stalls and made all the running to win decisively.I think she has more to offer and is clearly improving.She has plenty of early pace and could take some pegging back in this good looking event.

Posted on July 31st, 2010 No commentsToday’s 80/20 is Snoqualmie Girl in the 16.30 at Newbury.This well related filly put up a solid effort last time out when finishing second to Eastern Aria at HQ.She finished strongly and was gaining on the winner close home.She has run creditably against colts and has some decent form in Group company.I think she will run well at a good price.

Posted on July 16th, 2010 No commentsToday’s 80/20 is Reckless Reward in the 15.20 at Newbury.This Choisir colt finished an excellent second to Approve in the Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot last month.He was a little outpaced when the pace lifted two furlongs from home but responded in great style to grab a place.Interestingly he holds a Gimcrack entry which indicates he is held in some regard at home.I think he will run well at a fair price.

Posted on July 15th, 2010 No commentsToday’s 80/20 is Emma’s Gift in the 15.10 at Newbury.This filly ran a blinder in the Albany Stakes at Ascot when she finished fifth to Memory.She finished the race strongly and was gaining on the principals close home.I think she is still improving and should run well in this decent Listed event.

Posted on June 30th, 2010 No commentsToday’s 80/20 is Mabsam in the 19.05 at Newbury.This filly finished a fair fifth to Miss Boops on debut at Doncaster last month.She completely missed the break but recovered to keep on in good style all the way to the line.I think she is open to improvement and could run well at a decent price.

Posted on June 21st, 2010 No commentsToday’s 80/20 is Volatilis in the 19.55 at Newbury.This colt put up a decent effort last time out when beating Mr Harmoosh easily at Yarmouth earlier this month.He travelled supremely well and quickened nicely to win without being asked a question.I think he has more to offer and should go close.

Posted on June 9th, 2010 No commentsToday’s 80/20 is Issabella Gem in the 15.40 at Newbury.This filly finished a respectable sixth to Principle Role in a Listed event over this course last month.She had previously shown promise when finishing second to Fatanah at Sandown.She is well regarded by her trainer and should be competitive in this race.

Posted on May 14th, 2010 No commentsToday’s 80/20 is Lord Shanakill in the 15.05 at Newbury.This Speightstown colt developed in to a smart performer last year and grabbed a Group 1 victory in the Prix Jean Prat at Chantilly.Today he makes his debut for Henry Cecil and this veteran trainer will have him spot on for this race.
