Today’s Free Selections 25th July
Posted on July 24th, 2010 No commentsToday’s 80/20 is Kanaf in the 15.25 at Ascot.This gelding finished a decent second to Kakapuka at Doncaster last month.He met a little interference at the start but made good ground and was only denied in the final few yards.I think he will run well at a fair price..He is often very slowly away in his races and will almost certainly trade bigger in running.

Posted on July 23rd, 2010 No commentsToday’s 80/20 is Decent Fella in the 15.50 at Ascot.This lightly raced four year old ran well on his seasonal reappearance when finishing sixth to Dubai Dynamo at HQ in May.He met some interference but kept on steadily to finish just behind the leaders.I think he is still open to improvement and could run well at a decent price.

Posted on July 9th, 2010 No commentsToday’s 80/20 is Vertigineux in the 14.50 at Ascot.This six year old finished second to Fuisse in a Group 3 event at Chantilly last month.He has some very decent form in the book including a fourth place behind the smart Byword.I think this French invader could run well at a solid price.

Posted on June 18th, 2010 No commentsToday’s 80/20 is Kinsale King in the 15.50 at Ascot.This US raider put up a huge effort last time out when winning the Golden Shaheen at Meydan in March.He won this Group 1 race with the minimum of fuss.He had previously beaten Ventana and Breeders Cup Sprint winner Dancing In Silks in the Palos Verdes Handicap at Santa Anita.Today he faces a huge field in this strong Group 1 but could run well at a big price.

Posted on June 17th, 2010 No commentsToday’s 80/20 is Anna Salai in the 15.50 at Ascot.This well related filly finished second to Bethrah in the Irish 2000gns last month.She looked like the winner well inside the final furlong but was caught right on the line.She has a high cruising speed and a superb turn of foot.I think she will run very well at a fair price.

Posted on June 16th, 2010 No commentsToday’s 80/20 is Kasbah Bliss in the 15.50 at Ascot.This gallant campaigner finished a closing second to Kite Wood in a Group 2 event at Lonchamp last month.He has no stamina issues as was only beaten by a whisker in the Prix Cadran last October.His trainer will have him spot on for this tough assignment and should be involved in the finish.

Posted on June 15th, 2010 No commentsToday’s 80/20 is Twice Over in the 15.50 at Ascot.This high class individual ended last season with an excellent third to the great Zenyatta at Santa Anita in the Breeders Cup Classic.He made his seasonal reappearance in the Dubai World Cup in March but could never land a blow behind Gloria De Campeao.He brings rock solid credentials in to this race and should run well.

Posted on May 7th, 2010 No commentsToday’s 80/20 is Chilworth Lad in the 16.00 at Ascot.This Diktat colt ran very well on debut when finishing second to Casual Glimpse at Goodwood last week.He completely missed the break and was floated to the right when he was making good headway a furlong from home.He is entitled to show improvement today and should run well.

Posted on April 27th, 2010 No commentsToday’s 80/20 is Mon Cadeaux in the 16.30 at Ascot.This colt put up a decent effort when beating Chaperno at Salisbury last September.He showed a good turn of foot when his rider asked him the question and settled the race in a matter of strides.He has the scope to make a better three year old and could run well at a decent price.

Posted on February 19th, 2010 No commentsToday’s 80/20 is Oh Crick in the 15.15 at Ascot.This talented performer finished third to Twist Magic over this course last month .He made relentless progress over the last half mile of the contest and finished strongly to gain a place.I think he can build on that effort and should go close in this contest today.
